I came across this metal plate, while cleaning out my grandfather's house, it measures 4-3/4 "x 2-1/2", and with a little research, I think it is something from WWI, but still not sure. I was hoping someone could help me with more information and does it have any value?
A manufacturers name plate for the carriage of a cannon or other long range weapon?
That makes since, I wasn't sure from my research if it was on the box of ammo or the weapon. This is my first time using this site, is it wrong to ASK if there is any value.
