Hello! I just bought this cute silver box but have no idea of its value. It is marked on the bottom, made in Italy, with a number which I think reads 0-47324. It is shaped like a pumpkin with an engraved design on every other section. Stands on 4 legs and has a ceramic ornament on top with a windmill scene. Hinged top opening. Weighs just over a pound and about 5" in diameter.
Anyone seen one like this before or familiar with the marking? Thanks!
Your trinket box is made of either pot metal or pewter. Not possible to trace it to a specific manufacturer. These trinket boxes are made for the tourist trade.
