My sweet friend Malva gave me this bracelet for helping her out this morning. It's not silver, but the agate stones are beautiful. One moss agate stones has a little chip out of it, but no matter to me. Looks to be something from the 1940s. If I remove a link on either side, it will fit me perfectly and not rotate around on my wrist. I haven't seen a design similar to this one.

Moss agate stones? Haven't seen a design similar to this? Where have I heard those words before? Oh I think I saw a bracelet on eBay listed for thousands of dollars. You could be holding a treasure, Bonnie! :)

It is very pretty, I was wondering if it could be older, I have seen similar bracelets going back to the Art Nouveau period, just a thought.

Kath! LOL! The bracelet you're thinking about is a "RARE ANTIQUE DENDRITIC MOSS AGATE bracelet", Victorian or earlier... Could rather be called Elizabethan II

Jean - I had wondered it it might be earlier because of the claw setting. Malva bought it at a flea market (naturally).
