So this is an oil painting of a Spanish lady, it appears. The frame is vintage Mexican, and the style of the painting appears to be early 1900s. The signature is unclear, your guess is as good as mine. Callirge or Callilge, neither of which makes sense to me, the last name looks like Beal, I did a Google and signaturefinder search, nothing came up. I rarely buy art as I don't know anything about it, but this was such a cool portrait and the price was right. If anyone has a clue about the art or the artist, your help is greatly appreciated. I hope you like seeing this, and thanks for looking.

I really love the frame too - paticularly the internal double row. Very cool.
The signature is odd; sort of like they had to correct their own name.

Karen, I was reading on the FB Identify My Artwork page that sometimes fantasy art is signed with a vaguely foreign name that's slightly illegible so it's possible this might be that sort of thing. In this case, I really don't mind. She's so what they call in Mexico, "llamativa," means she calls your attention in a good way, magnetically attractive. :)

This portrait reminds me a lot of Francis Picabia's work, I may be way off base, but I do see strong similarities:
