I have just bought this because i loved the design. I have been googling it as there is no maker's mark but i can't find anything similar - particularly the unusual lid. It looks hand painted as the speckles are thicker in some places than others and the design continues to the base of each item. The teapot is around 14cm high and the cups 7cm. I would love to know more about it.

The pattern is raised, textured, correct?. It is beautiful. There’s definitely no mark on the base, sometime an impressed mark is hard to see, and also some pottery marks are on the side. Check it carefully under good light, and use a magnifying glass to scan it. It looks too good a quality not to be marked in some way.
The fact that it has tea bowls makes me think Asian in origin, but many ceramicists have been influenced by that style

Hi maryh1956, yes the pattern is raised. Thanks very much for the advice about looking more closely for a mark and I think it is time to get myself a magnifying glass.
