This Quezal vase is one of my purchases at the recent Baltimore Antique Show. I went with the intention of finding a nice piece of Quezal, and this is what caught my attention (well actually others caught my attention but were not in my price range). What I fell in love with is the incredible iridescence of the gold aurene interior! It's decorated in Quezal's classic green, opal and gold pulled feather design. As always, thanks for looking!

Lovely piece and beautiful pics Rick. Was it you who once said green wasn't your favorite color? LOL...Just kidding. :) The gold on the inside is simply amazing.
      Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks Tonja... Very true I'm not particularly fond of green, but it depends on the shade and how it's used LOL. I've seen this decor for quite some time and have grown to love it! Also, thanks for the pic comment...

I usually skip over "green" items - glass, pottery anything. But this one has held me in its thrall since you posted it. "Quezal's classic green, opal and gold pulled feather design" - has changed my mind about green, perhaps only in this case, it's such a pale, muted green, and the pulled feather detail is stunning plus the gold is gorgeous. Gush Gush Gush

      Thanks Rick55 for posting it.

WOWSER Rick....Green With Envy!! Nice score. Wow!! Just wondering could this be also called a Trumpet Vase......or even a Jack in the Pulpit vase. Just wondering.

Your Glass collection is .....................................BREATHLESS !!

This is such a beautiful vase, Rick, with so much delicate texture. I love image three where the 'petals' seem to be emerging from a ribbed 'calyx'. Perfection!

Rosie, Gillian and Peggy... Thank you so much for your wonderful comments and love, they're truly appreciated!

@Rosie... I'm not a hundred percent sure, I've always scene vases with a ruffled edge referred to as floriform. I've had some trumpet vases from Lundberg Studios, that they identify as trumpet vases. With those, the rims were perfectly round circles. and flat were completely even along the rim. Here's one that I recently sold and is identified by Lundberg Studios as a trumpet vase . https://postimg.org/image/ilsfb9ry3/ Now, as far as Jack-in-the-pulpit is concerned that's a good one. The ones that I've seen have an asymmetrical flower and actually tilt a little bit forward, but I'm no flower expert so who knows?

@Gillian... Thanks, you explained it much better than I. :-) Those are my exact reasons!

@Peggy... I feel the same way... The third pic is my favorite! Calyx? Had to look that one up :-)

OMG I am speechless! I went directly to your page and could not figure out which to comment on! I picked this one but I can tell you, that was a hard decision. I seriously don't think if I were to walk into your home that I would be able to pick up my jaw from the ground. No joke, I would probably have you explain each piece to me in detail the whole time I was there. It amazes me too that so many here are so specific when going to find a piece. I WISH I could stay that focused!!! All of your recent posts are amazing Rick!!!

Wow Share, I'm speechless too! LOL What can I say to such a flattering post? I deeply appreciate your taking the time to look at my posts and always supporting me!

You are so very welcome! I am serious and you'd have to tell me about each one. I would be all ears, imagine that!?! LOL!
