Happy weekend CW. Almost broke my flip flop getting to this. I thought it was glass. ;) However I am happy to have it because it is just lovely.
I looked up Shen Shou and she was a Chinese embroiderer. How that relates to this vase is beyond me. My research only turns up some pink ones called vintage. It looks brand new in person but the marks in blue on the bottom I cannot make out enough to even look them up.
Little bit of a 2fer with the barrel. It was my grandfathers.

The crystalline glaze is just gorgeous. I believe the Chinses have done this for a while, which makes sense. Master potters they are I am sure they have been perfecting this difficult technique.
