I purchased these 2 pieces for $15.00 from newspaper ad with the help and support of 2 CW friends. (One looked at the pics and one was my contact going into a strange home out in the woods). I'm still alive so it's all good. ;) So very thankful for the support. !! You know who you are.

I love the frilly top vase and the bird but don't know who made them.
There were some housekeeping issues with these pieces but these two cleaned themselves in lukewarm water and a bit of dawn.
    Thanks for looking everybody!

I did catch a pic of the bird outside and his beak and eyes are purplish?
Actually, I just wanted a big glass bird. :)

The parrot is just grogeous!! Great piece and I'm green now.

The vase has excited me too. A style very similar to this was made in Japan from about the 30s until the 70s although I don't have any of them. I have seen them also from China, both old and newer. Who made which? Dunno, hard to tell.
This one is gorgeous; great colour, beautiful white internal casing, and the frills - oh the frills!!! The added clear foot is so Asian and the messy flowers - I love it!

Love your vase and parrot!!! I saw a vase (said Victorian) with a same decoration like yours, just it had different colour - blue.

I can't make a long story short to save my life. LOL
Thank you Karen for the love and some confirmation about what was bugging me. The clear foot and red white and blue messy flower completely threw me off. Those colors don't match. ;) Asian did not even cross my mind. The vase had a sticker from a local antique mall that said Italian.
Thank you Tassie, Scott and Martika for your loves and kind comments.
Thanks for the loves also: bb2, fort, Mike, flea, Manikin, aura and Nevada. :)
