I think this is pretty funny!! My husband picked it up today at a garage sale for $1.00!!! Seller said "it's just a bit of pewter"......
The blurb sounds a bit "out there" !!!
As you can see, it is all hallmarked silver including chain, has a dragon on the front and a magnet on the back......not really sure when it was made but think perhaps post 1990 as ones before this were marked 925 apparently.
Soooo, the combination of silver, magnet and dragon are going to bring me luck???
The little dragon is cute, and I just remembered that Draco means dragon!!!
Hope you like him....thanks, Judy
PEWTER!!! Bah hahahaha......I love it......
Thanks Bonnie! Amazing isn't it, my husband knew what is was....I have taught him well!!!!
Lucky find... That dragon is really cute! :)
Thanks Martika....actually the more I look at it the more I am liking it!!
I like it too!
It appears your chakras are aligning as Bonnie's have with her magnetic bracelet and you are now attracting the bargain buys.
(may I borrow hubby?)
Lol, thanks Karen...I hope so for more bargains....
Sorry, could not let you borrow hubby lol.....he does the cooking most of the time and brings me coffee in bed every morning....I couldn't do without him!!!
Haha, Pewter the Dragon ;-))
Your husband seems to have some of Bonnie's talent for "sniffing" silver out of "junk", kudos to him :-)
Lol, Pewter is his name now...love it!! Thanks
Actually Pascale, I was only showing him what sort of things Bonnie does pick up the other day and he decided he should look a bit more closely at things now....and it paid off!!!
Looks like your hubby did quite well with this purchase! I do hope it brings you much luck!
agree with scott! u guys makes a good pair of fleafinders couple!
Thank you Scott, yes he is pretty good at finding some nice things for us and we would be happy to just manage to be lucky enough to stay fit and healthy for a few more years yet!
Thanks Fleafinder!!!
Many thanks Thomas!
Judy - the good stuff really is out there for the picking. I stopped in a thrift shop where I haven't been for about two/three months. I picked through a small basket of junk rings and found a 14K white gold & diamond accent ring. It's small, mind you, but worth a lot more than the buck I paid for it. :-))))
Judy - tell your husband to look at the link closest to the clasp on some jewelry - gold marks are often put there. The mark isn't always obvious. Look on the underside of a bracelet clasp, look on the inside bit of a bangle bracelet which opens up. You know, the kind you "twist" open to put on? Earrings can be marked on the posts - teeny tiny stamps. Happy Hunting!
Thanks Bonnie, I will let him know all these things!!! He does enjoy hunting and has found some lovely things by accident and been most surprised when he finds out they are really good. Imagine how much better he will be having the knowledge as well!!!! Thanks for your help, appreciated!
I will try and post a ring today that he came home with a while ago......he had no idea!

The pendant is marked W. Germany on the rim, so it was made some time before 1990s.
