I started out going to a street market which claimed on the internet ad to have 51-100 tables. Well, horsepucky...20 tables tops loaded with kid stuff and rubbish.....so I trashed that and went to the thrift shop, which happened to be just up the road. I found this little promise ring in a small basket of rubbish costume rings. It weighs one gram. You just about see the diamond, lol~!
Gold is about 18 bucks a gram.

Your findings prompted me to trawl through jewellery in the thrift shops. I'm doing this regularly already quite a few months and still haven't find any gold!!! Your eyes fantastic!!!

hahaha BB2!! I have a very small terracotta pumpkin in the back garden, so I propped the ring on the top to see how it would look in a photo. Weird, apparently....
I'm with Martika all the way. !! If there's no glass, I'm going to try the jewelry buckets. It's time consuming for sure but fun none the less. Thanks to your inspiration.!!
Cute ring that was probably a heartbreaker. I still have a necklace with a diamond chip from my 1st love. LOL
