Works fine? A music box? You must put up more than one photo.
This looks to be mid-century. You don't say if there are any marks on the bottom or how large it is.
It's not a doll - it's a ceramic music box figurine.
Thanks for your quick reply as you can tell I haven't got a clue about this it works fine and about 20 cm high
It has got few light marks on the top I'll try to put more pictures up
OK thanks - need to know as much as possible.
It says made in Taiwan republic of China
Got more pictures
That's better. I take it you don't know the tune it plays? The musical movement is probably Swiss but the figurine could have been made in Japan. Not possible to be sure, unless there is another one floating around still with the label. I didn't find one using the Google Image search.
OH now I see there is a label. Well, that narrows that down...! This was probably what is known as a "Dime Store" item, sold in places like Woolworth's in the 1950s/1960s.

"From 1949 to the mid 1970s there were no trade relations with mainland China. The island of Taiwan, however, became a major source for gee-gaws during the 1960s until it also moved on to pricier electronic items. Taiwanese production from this era is marked "made in Republic of China" or "made in China (R.O.C.)" to distinguish from "Red" China."
Unfortunately I don't know what tune it plays it's a shame I can't share audio file, any way thank you very much for the information you have given me
You're very welcome.
