Melons, Vines, & Butterflies Porcelain Snuff Bottle

I wish I could post pictures of the entire circumference of this bottle! There is another georgeous butterfly not pictured.

Because of the shape of this bottle, and the wide mouth, I wonder if it possibly was a miniature vase converted for use as a snuff bottle.

It has the Ch'ien Lung Reign mark on the base in iron red, although it may not be of the period. I must investigate to find out.
