I obtained this medal and have found some information, but would like to know if anyone else has seen this medal, how old is it and is it rare? The information that I have is below.

GERMANY. Cleopatra Medal. Gold, 26mm, 7.86 grams, 999.9 fine. Obv. KLEOPATRA IMPERATRIX AEGYPTUS (Cleopatra, Emperor of Egypt), bust of Cleopatra. Rev. RES AETERNA SIGNUM SALUTIS NUMMIS MUNDI (a sign of the eternal salvation of the coins of the world), heraldic eagle and lions. Brilliant Proof.

Thank you for any help and information that you could give me.

There was a discussion on German coin forum regarding this medal (token). Fantasy ``double eagle`` on reverse, and there was no consensus on the fineness. Not made in Egypt (there is a medal with Indian head and the same reverse). It was definitively made in Germany by an unknown manufacturer in 1992 to be inserted within pendants and brooches. Most probably 8 K or 14 K gold. Some pieces are 22 K gold plated silver. It`s impossible to tell unless the medal is filed deep enough and acid tested, but that would destroy the medal.
Circumstantial evidence: Compare with 22 K Sovereign 7.98 g (0.12 g heavier than the medal), but the diameter is only 22.05 mm and thickness 1.52 mm. In a word, fine gold of 26 mm should be much heavier than the sovereign.

I had this medal/token tested yesterday by a refinery who has an x-ray machine and the attached pictures show the medal and the gold tested at 24K.
If anyone has any information pertaining to this medal/token, please respond.
      Thank you

I have this exact same coin in similar conditions only it has been 'welded' (with 3 small gold dots) into a gold necklace frame. It was passed down from my grandmas mom who grew up around slovakian decent. The coin should date further back that aforementioned since it was handed down in at least 3 generations in my family. If anyone has any informqtion on this or on the potential value of it that would be appreciated.
