I found these in my dad's barn all rusty,so I soaked them in molasses,primed and painted them!I believe these are mid 1950's chevy truck caps.I just needed something else to hang in the museum!lol

i have two old chrome ones similar to these, but i think they are 1940s.
What does the molasses do ? Eat rust?
