Haynes Wood Flute

This flute belonged to our father who played it until about 6 years ago. We're trying to learn more about it: Haynes, Boston, Mass. Rosewood (?) In excellent condition, but one cork is a little dried out. The only serial number is a "2" under the Haynes imprint. What else can I find out about the flute? (The case is not original.)
