This is one more addition to my little collection of Mexican jewelry. My husband was not impressed when I told him that I was going to buy it because he prefers sterling silver over Alpaca. I do too, but I liked this classic design of the worrier masks and the beautiful blue colour of the glass.
I believe that this bracelet dates to around the middle of the last century.
Thanks for looking:)
Are there any marks on it? I love the blue, too.
Yes, there is a mark. I added photo number four. I think is says Mexico and Alpaca.
Absolutely stunning colour!!!
Thanks so much for your comment, TassieDevil. I think so too:)
It`s nice and the maker was honest with his mark. Have seen those bracelets with maker`s mark, either initials or pictorial, with ``echo en Mexico`` then ``STERLING TAXCO`` on the clasp. Exactly what it said: only the clasp was solid silver, the rest was white metal. In short, make sure ``sterling`` is marked on the bracelet, not only on the clasp.
You have such an inspiring collection that seems to get better and better, just love your posts !~ I think the whole bracelet may be silver.
