Apparently a huge shipment of this book burned many many decades ago and it went missing for years, reappeared and has been printed in paperback for those interested, like myself. (illustrated) The cover photo is one I have not seen before, and it is impressive.
Thanks Brunswick--Oh! That Face!!
How beautiful. An interesting person too. Thanks for sharing this.
The book iis under $20, and is well illustrated with photos we may have never seen. The author was a cemetary guide for Valentino's crypt.. When he saw all the masses of people filing thru, women, men, teenagers , he began to "explore" Valenino's life finding much that was unknown, at a time you could find it.
After the burned shipment of books,-- published in the day-- no copy appeared to survive--then one did show up--and it was reprinted. I want one toooooo!!!

It's Rudolph Valentino=="The World's Greatest Lover" Movie Star 1n the 1920s, and died at 31 years of age. Also known as
"The Sheik" for that movie title he starred in and the sequel "Son Of The Sheik" also starred in that too--plus a lot of other movies in the day.
