so this is a little plate about 5 1/2" in diameter; I am especially interested in learning who the maker is because there are so many patterns like this in depression glass and i'm trying to distinguish between them; for example it can't be Westmoreland's English hobnail or hocking's Miss America because the center sunburst isn't right; same problem with Indiana Diamond point. So I'd love to know who the maker is on this one.
Are you sure this isn't "Miss America?" I have a 3-part divided dish in pink. It belonged to my grandmother. I always thought it was made by Anchor Hocking.
yours might be, but what i'm looking at in this is the center radial thing, in Miss America it has points at the ends, this doesn't, it's very blunt and rounded..........that's why I don't think it's Miss America. If you look at yours and it's different from this, on that point, let me know, and thanks for writing.
don't know either, but R does had this is pink and clear as Anchor Hocking Miss America bread and butter plate:

ok, we're not done yet.............look further down the page until you come to coaster, they are listing it as miss America and it is clearly Westmoreland English hobnail..................so my thinking is that they have mismarked both these pieces the coaster and the bread and butter plate............so we still don't know what the bread and butter plate is..................if anyone knows what the bread and butter plate they have listed as Miss America is, please let me know............the dish I have is like that exactly, now is yours like mine or is yours pointed at the ends like the other miss America pieces...................do you see what I mean, since they are calling English hobnail miss America, they have also mis named the one like mine...............we need more help here, let me know what you have or post a show and tell and thanks for your being interested in this..................also, if I recall you helped me name a Westmoreland bowl I have, for which I am so grateful........clearly you know some stuff, if you figure out what's going on here, let me know............thanks, ioanna
I did see that misnamed coaster you mention; "R" does have their share of errors. I thought the Miss America attribution was somewhat supported by the pink one with the same ray motif at "R"; tho' it's hard to compare color and hue from photographs. There are plenty of this version with the blunt rays available but I'm not finding anything definitive regarding the blunt vs. pointed rays on bread and butter plates.
good, so what I will do is list the plates as miss America variation, if anyone knows otherwise let me know...............you've been a great help, please look at all my post and tells and if you know any more let me know, did you see the black bowl and plate I listed at the same time as this, know anything about that..........can we email each other, I'm curious about you and so glad you are into this, i'm getting the idea that depression glass can vary within a pattern, you see it sometimes in books, like pretzel can have a plain center or an intaglio fruit center, and they don't always show the latter in books, is that kind of what you are saying about this miss America, that it's a variation on the pattern............it wld certainly make the depressive (glass) world a little easier to deal with...........my email is ioanna.chris@yahoo.com if that's allowed to post here........
I'm mostly interested in EAPG cake stands; it's just that you gotta recognize the posers as well to eliminate them. I'm not too knowledgeable of depression glass other than familiarity over the years. If you're interested in interaction with other sellers I recommend antiquers.com, as CW is a venue for collectors to share and interact; selling and appraisals are frowned upon here...

I looked at your cake stand, but unfortunately, the pattern isn't familiar to me. I have numerous reference books on glass, but I mostly collect opaque "aka milk glass" or colored glass. I do have one book that comes to mind. It is a book on Fostoria glass. It has numerous patterns of clear glass. I will go through it and see if your pattern is pictured.
