Today must have been my day for weird jewelry finds. I spent the better part of the day cruising through three thrift shops in Maastricht. One is a regular stop and the other two I visit once in a blue moon. This came from one of the "blue moon"shops. They used to keep the jewelry behind lock and key, but since transferred it to wooden boxes on a shelf. This was one of my purchases there. It was broken - missing a tiny ring at the top of one of the strands. Easy fix.
1940s? 1950s?
Thanks for looking.

The clasp along with the milk glass and construction suggests 30s to me, Bonnie, though I could be wrong, let's see what some of the experts say. Beautiful necklace, I have one sort of similar. :)
It is a very beautiful necklace!
valentino97 - yes, it measures 12 inches from end to end.
val - I have to look and see when collar necklaces were popular. What do you think, then? 1920s? 1930s?
Thanks for the comments/love, everybody!
val - it was stuffed in a ziplock bag and looked like a jumble of rubbish. This is one of my most unusual finds in regard to costume jewelry. Almost looks like something that might have been worn by Cleopatra (LOL I'm dreaming again!).
