A nice little mop folding fruit knife, rarer than normal fruit knives as they slot together and also has a fork, you also don't see them no where near as often and they are way more expensive to buy. Fruit knives were exactly this fruit knives they were made firstly in late 18c and were developed from a folding penknive. Fruit knives were used to eat fruit in the Georgian - Edwardian period this is a later type from 1915, but nice as it has a knife/fork which come apart so you can use them separately and then slot back together to fold and go in your pocket. I have had this for 15 yrs I got it out yesterday with lots of other knives I will be showing. In the U.K our laws state that you can sell 12" bread knives or kitchen knives anywhere, but you can't sell a antique Knive just anywhere. Where is the sense in this I know what knives the young kids carry about with them today and they definately ain't old they are the knives they buy in shops the stay sharp type. I also think our laws on knives are right as they are dangerous things but also believe old/antique knives are our history, and should have a place on the U.K private market. Also if you could sell old knives privately the prices would go way higher and then the kids would not be able to afford them anyway.
