    Here was a great, cheap find. A gilt, lead-framed tin-type of a boy before a long-used, often-folded fabric backdrop. Back is of an unidentified material. Glass is still intact, but I removed it to take photos. The ferrotype is held between pieces of wood inside, and behind it is some green paper with designs and possibly words.

    Date unknown. Person unknown.

      Nice backdrop on the tintype. The tintype itself is probably 1870s- 80s. The frame or case looks later.
