A few days ago "philmac51" posted a vase with a similar decor - http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/204323-czech-bohemian-vase?in=441
- which sparked a lively discussion. I am in no position to assign attribution but I thought maybe another shape would add to the picture. I am perfectly willing to accept this as Ruckl if that is the case, but that seemed not the point of the discussion, so let me add my observations to the description.
To my eyes, this vase and the one posted by Phil are similar enough in components to draw immediate decor comparison. I'm on the other side of the world so I haven't held his vase in my hands but his vase is described as "heavy and pretty thickly layered". This vase is also heavy with a fairly thick clear external casing. Where the "pulls" on Phil's vase are loose and spattery, the pulls on this vase appear more solid but they are, on close inspection, just denser spatter and not solid color. The base spatter and pulls read as black but they are, in this piece when the light is just right, seen to be dark cobalt blue.
This simple shape vase is mold-blown. It stands 10" (25.4 cm) tall with a diameter at the throat of 3 1/4" (7.8 cm) and 4" (10.2 cm) at the bottom bulge. It is unmarked.

I'm comfortable with Ruckl too. This is the same shape at the controlled bubble with adventurine pull-up design....that design has been connected to line drawings of a lampshade so that is why it is Ruckl to me, ALTHOUGH there is one slight detail that I associate with Ruckl shapes -the look the slightest bit bottom heavy; like they had a chip and were ground down (out of balance), you can see it in the first pic
This is a similar shape to the Diamond Bubble shape, but not the same. It is thinner overall than the Diamond Bubble shape, which maintains the same ratio of diameter to height in two different known sizes, both of which are a wider diameter overall than this example. This shape above can also be found in other decors, and it looks the same as this one. Same height / diameter ratio overall.
This shape, like a recent PK / Poschinger shape post, is one that should not be used as a reference to make attributions without additional confirmed decor evidence to support the attribution.
I have a post which shows the shape in some slight variations which likely represent at least 3 and possibly 4 different production houses.
Here is an image showing some differences. The blue and green in the top row are actually different in height by about 3 inches, but were made the same size to show that shapes by a single production house are generally reasonably well maintained even with size changes .

Thanks to everyone - I truly appreciate the input.
