    Posted for Andy:

This is the only one I have ever seen, a large size late Loetz (almost 9'' tall, exactly 8'' across at the opening). Let me describe its unusual features: mirror finish, like some 226. I have not seen it in any other late Loetz glass. The ground color is not cobalt, but much lighter, maybe close to the color earlier called "mountain blue". The glass is much thinner and lighter than I have normally seen in Loetz from the 30s. The applied trailing is of the kind we call Diaspora II, but it is different in some respects:
    1) It is not so densely applied
    2) It is rather flat, only at the bottom acquiring a relief quality
    3) It is not too ambitious in forming circular voids like Diaspora usually does
The color of the trailing is silvery-blue, becoming turquoise under certain light angles.
I hope the photos will tell you more about it. My research into late Loetz continues. I would place this one around 1930, a few years into the iridescent new wave, but before the last period and the Spiegelau factory.

I wish it was mine Tony. This beauty belongs to Andy Jelcic in Croatia. A lot of rare and unusual things appear in Europe if you know where to look.

      Thanks Jericho, I completely agree.

So it is a little different than Diaspora Neu - really cool, interesting piece! Congrats to Andy!
