I rescued these from a charity thrift store. I cannot find any like them on the Internet. They are truly vintage because they were covered in dust and grime. I believe they should be protected.

These usually are protected if these are stalactites. This would be a soft medium to carve but from my early spelunking days, we were told to leave them alone & had no problem understanding why. They belong to us & the future.
Hi Blundebuss2. I agree they should be protected. I feel sad that people are stealing them. I pondered for a long time whether I should even buy them. I think it is good to get this stuff off the market. I think they look like they are from Mexico and may be early pieces. Mexico now has very strict rules. My husband thinks they could also be from South America where the rules may be more lax.
When you buy(Demand), a vacuum is presented that will be filled by a supplier. Same way the drug trade works.
Yes but if a person buys at a thrift store and does not sell, it is out of the market.
Thanks all of my friends for the loves. It is so great to meet other passionate collectors!
