I purchased this antique shot glass caddy in 2003. I have no idea the origin or age. I was drawn to it for the beautiful gems. I can not find a makers mark. The owner thought it came from Switzerland but was unsure. Can anyone help me? Any information is appreciated!

Wow! I would guess czech. Looks just like their jewelry. Look at costume jewelry/ czech here on CW and compare. I think you will see similarities.

Is it for shotglasses? Could it have been a centerpiece for the table with candles or small glasscups for serving something?

I think more italian make. The quality and gems are wonderful! I also think that this would be used for carrying small glasses of wine or whatever.
