Hello again, Here art the rest of my 3 little pigs big bad wolf collection . I have 2 pocket watches with no boxes and 2 clocks with no boxes. I am still looking for boxes especially for the clocks and then it will be complete when I find and can afford them. Thank for looking
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ALL THE LOVES
Sigh I am never going to have collections like this if I live to be a 100 !! Sooooo nice.
Thank You Wandlessfairy, I thought the same thing years ago and I just decided that it was one of the only things that made me happy, the hunt is what was fun and if I could afford it at the time I will buy it. It has taken 30 plus years of collecting to get what I have today. I was given some advise by another collector that to buy the best you can afford because a broken toy in the future is still a broken toy. So I have been patient over the years and tried to buy the best as I can. Sometimes I can only buy 1 item when I would like to buy more when they come up for sale at the same time and sometimes I can't buy any .Thanks for looking and glad you enjoy.
Yes I do try to buy the best I can afford but my collection is fairly new so have a couple of oops watches in there ha ha. Hope scans etc are favourable. Have 2 friends undergoing Chemo and I know how hard it is for everyone. Keep posting your fabulous collection, they make everyone smile.
Thanks Wandlessfairy, There is nothing wrong with oops buys, things happen for a reason maybe you don't know why at time but it may be clear in the future. That oops buy might just complete an incomplete item or a trade that someone else might need. I have made a lot of oops in my collecting. One thing I can say is that if your collection is fairly new now, catalogue it with where, when and what you paid for it, and identification of the item, because when you get older and forget it takes sooo much time to do it and research the items you forgot. I have so much stuff it's taking a long time to do it. good luck, Mickey
