These little jars are 2.5 or 3 inches tall and appear to be made of some sort of marble or porcelain material. I got them from a gift shop I worked at in college in the late 1970s. The owner of the shop used to go to Market in Dallas every year to find new treasures and she was always excited about these little containers, but I forgot what they are called, and there are no identifying mark on any of the jars. I would assume they would be used for bobby pins or maybe sewing pins.
