    Yep, it's me June of 1963 in NTC San Diego, No we didn't swab (mop) the asphalt outside............this was just for fun.............gettin' down to the ' short strokes'

      For AR8Jason and Tall Cakes.
      After the discussion on spats I just had to repost this pic. As I recall the training area was divided into two (2) camps, Farragut and Nimitz. This was taken during the later part of training so we would have been in Camp Nimitz and as you can see we are all wearing spats. I think they took them off for the class book photos.

      We had the same split in training when I went through in 1970; I think it was at six weeks when we crossed 'the bridge'.
