Would like to make a desk top out of this vintage New Goodrich sewing machine frame. Any ideas on making this project a great fit for the home?

Thanks ladies for these eye popping photos! They are beautiful and by all accounts can be very expensive to buy. Just so happens I have all the wood tools needed to pull this off! I'll post a photo when it's finished if it gets that far, I've had two people stop and ask to buy the frame. I need to move into the shop and out of prying eye!
