    It is 10" tall and 6" diameter.
    I was charmed by this years ago but now my curiosity has gotten the better of me. Any guidance is much appreciated.

      Maybe Australian Aboriginal, but as yours is wheel thrown, maybe a more contemporary piece? I don’t know much about the native methods though.
