We purchased this item at an estate sale and have been doing research on it but we have been unable to locate the age of the item or what type of dish or bowl this may be (candy, nut, ?). We noticed the double stamp around the rim and the last picture is the double stamp.
The mark on the bottom is - International (WSterling which means Watrous Mfg. Company.
The item is 4 1/2 wide on top; 3 inches high; and the bottom is 2 3/4 inches across.
The pattern number is 330 but we can't find the name of the pattern; we just found the pattern on Replacements.com and it said 330.
Any information you can give us would be greatly appreciated.
I posted some information on this earlier ...why did you re-post?
We reposted the item because we accidentally hit the link on the bottom that will stop any more posts. We wanted to see if anyone else had any information.
Thank you for the information on the pattern; we were also looking for how to find the age and what type of bowl it may be. Thanks again. You gave us the floral pattern, we'll start searching for that too!
The only reference to any type of pattern I could find was listed on Replacements. It's simply called Floral. There isn't anything else on the web about it and no other examples of this particular item. The floral design was put on by machine and the double stamping is simply an over-stamp.
Not all companies give names to their patterns - many just number their designs for the sake of simplicity.
I just tried searching for floral in regard to this and found absolutely zero.
:-((((
I think it's a candy/nut dish, too. How large is it?
