VintageStu…
(1 item)
The above posted is a Coca-Cola Spinner Clock. Was wondering if it's actually the vintage version or the reproduction. My research indicated that the authenticity is verified via the screws on the front of the clock face?
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Whats the size? Can you post a pic of the back?
There were many repro versions of this, hard to tell from your pics.
Should be maker marked Neon Products Inc., if authentic c.1940. Hands are different than the earlycoke.com example (which lists "repro alert" caution). Need to see shots of the back side and innards to be sure (agreed pickr). If "The Real Thing", has some value... ;0)
Is the clock 20" X. 6" deep ? The repo clocks in this size are well made like the originals. I have never seen a Coke repo clock like this. I have seen a Chevy service repro clock with the spinner and they look really good. If that's an original in that condition they are very expensive. If you paid under $400 it's a repro.
I found one on eBay for $902. It's back is black so it appears to be a repro. I'm checking with the company that makes the repro spinner neon clocks to see if they make the Coke version. These repro clocks are very well made with no plastic and are very heavy.
Wow, forgot about this post...just posted the backside, so I'm guessing it's a repro and yes, it's pretty heavy. Posted the backside photos, now.
