Hello fellow collectors!!
In my treasure hunting this past weekend, I stumbled across a couple of antique cigar boards (molds). This particular one was made by Miller, DuBrul & Peters Manufacturing Company of New York, N.Y. It was patented in 1897.
This one would shape 20 cigars at a time. The cigars would have been placed inside the cigar board and the board was then clamped into a press for some time to give the cigars their shape.
It's still in very pristine condition. I love unusual and unique items and this falls right within that category.

I've seen these for many years, but lots of times they're either broken or missing the other half. I found two of these this weekend and both are complete and in great condition. These are great, Scott! I can't believe I still haven't bought one since I've been looking at them for years. Maybe it's because I'm running out of room to display and they can take up a lot of space.

Thanks for the kind comment! I've seen cigar boards for many years now and finally decided to buy these when I saw them. Though my collection has grown immensely over the years, I have a big trunk collection and I store some of my items in the trunks. Thanks for the comment, the love and for stopping in.
