This a two piece candy or butter dish. I am trying to determine whether they are meant to be together. The bottom has a tinge of pink to light red. Top is all gold trim.
Does anyone have an idea as to what I have here? Thank you for any insight!
Can you get a better picture of the top? Its definitely a butter/cheese dish but a better picture of the top can help to I'd the maker and if the two go together.
the bottom is U.S. Glass #15065 Delaware c1899 and the top/lid/cover is not a match. A clearly focused side profile of the cover might help with and ID.
Thank you both! I will post better pictures later today. I appreciate your help!
Here is another photo of the top of my butter dish. Gold trim on flowers and swirls. Would love help if anyone can identify this piece.
Thank you much!
Beautiful! No exact idea of age tho.
Welcome to CW!
the butter dome is McKee Bros. 'Puritan' c1910
each piece is EAPG rather than depression glass
Thank you Robin and TallCakes! I am new to the world of collecting and I am having a great time seeing the beautiful pieces that are out there. This group is a great resource!
I appreciate your helpfulness in identifying my pieces, I just wish they were a matched set!
I too havery a "married" set. I love it the same as my other pieces.
Well... They ARE both antique and they DO fit well together so we will enjoy as is?
