Good Evening CW Members--- 10:30 PM)2016-9-20
This post is my 500, i reach 500 before, but something happen, all my fault.
Now i receive this Cookie Jar directly from Austria, being in the mail for fews week, kind of scary, but the seller guaranty me he will pack well, he did a phenomenal (LOL) job on it.
Seller description ; A very unusual Ice Bucket in classical german art nouveau style. The iridized glass body by Loetz widow, decor maron Phänomen PG 2/467 - 1902, see Loetz.com.
The lid can be attributed to Friedrich Adler, Albin Müller or one of the other important German or Austrian designers.
I am confident on the attribution, buy HEY,,,I still learning on glass every day, I really like the pitch glass on 3 side, and the colour is just stunning, when you look inside the jar (picture #3) you start to suffer dizziness, really hard to capture the beauty of this iridescent colour (picture#4), the pewter lid and handle are for sure in the Art Nouveau style, i will have to read on those 2 potential German designer who this is the possible attribution.

Now Loetz collectors on CW, i want to hear what you have to say about this Austrian Cookie Jar.

This Beauty stand 7.50 inch tall by 5.50 inch wide.

    Many Thanks Everyone for Viewing.

Hi Alan, Andy Jelcic asked me if I could share his comment on your post:

      Dear Alan,
sometimes things in life run that way. I had the vase on my list, believing it was Loetz (I still think so), although a bit different than the examples on loetz.com and therefore probably bearing a different PG number or name. But then, concentrated on another auction, I forgot to bid. Now I am glad that someone from the CW circle got it, who is also very happy with that piece.
      Andy

dlfd911, I really appreciate that Andy comment on this Loez piece, I really do...:-)
But what about you, what is your opinion, I will be more then happy to hear it.
I have another's 2 Loetz coming, I will love to hear your opinion when I post it.

Many thanks for the comment and love, much appreciated that you take some of your time to stop by.

      Regards

I am in agreement with Andy's statement. It may well be Loetz, although a decor different than 2/467, which has a silberiris-type gold in the wavy lines. Yours are more like pulled-feathers. I have mostly only seen Kralik jars with this type of metal and shape, but nothing would surprise me at this point, so I welcome new decors and information.
    18. Alan2310 Alan2310, 8 years ago
dlfd911, sorry for the late reply, we'll look more swirl to me, but hey I just still learning, I have a few pull feather style, look different to me.
I am more then happy to get your opinions on this cookie jar.
Many thanks for your time and the love, much appreciated that you stop by.

      Regards
