I found these adorable tiny metal yellow and black butterfly stickpins at the same estate sale as where I found the Cambridge Glass Nude Lady Stem Mint dishes. The owner(s) must have been some fun people! I must tell you that I was as excited about getting this huge jar full of these vintage stickpins as I was the nude ladies!
There are hundreds of these cute tiny pins, almost 10 pounds worth!
I have no idea why these pins were produced and what their purpose in life was. As such, I have no idea in which category I should place them. Do you? If so, please help me. I'm certain they are vintage - 40 years plus. But, if I never find out their purpose or age, I will still absolutely love them!
Each pin is just about a 1/2 inch long including the pin part and all metal. The pins are very sharp and pointy!
Just when I thought I'd seen it all, I see a jar of yellow butterflies...that jar must be at least as old as those pretty pins!
Oh!!...how wonderful, I too would have been excited about getting them, looove butterflies...and I think the way you have displayed them is great...all of them like this would look wonderful on the wall...:-)
I'll take nude ladies over butterflies any day!!! [;>)))

inky, It makes me really happy that someone like you with the really cool rare and valuable glass pieces would find joy, just as I do, in these tiny base metal butterflies! Thank you! I love those of like mind who find beauty in the valuable and not so much!
