For Karen and Jewels1900, the Shipton or German same style brooch!

In pic#3, I use it as a clasp for wearing a flapper length braided seed beads rope in two rows.

In pic#4, it is used as a bale for a white jade devil's work (grand mother's spare earring!).

Brooches can be used in versatile ways!!!

If I had to have a new life... I'd go for gemmology and jewellery making :-)
For now I love to mix my pieces without altering, that way they are really versatile.
Thank you so much for your lovely compliment, Martika :-D

Exquisite. There's not enough adjectives. Wondering if pic. 3 is actual size?
    7. kyratango kyratango, 8 years ago
Gillian, thanks for your interest and appreciation!
Pic#3 is slightly smaller than reality, the brooch is 29mm or 1.1/8" long.
The whole combination in pic#4 is 7cm or 2.5/8".

So many similarities with both my brooches!
I just don't have the creativity to use mine the same way as you do.
      Beautiful ideas Kyra.

Here's a new bit of info on this type of leaf. A ring marked Cork.
