These were my grandfather's. He was a jack of all trades. Old mechanic illustrated and other how to magazines. It's interesting to compare these with the books and magazines put out now.

Love that photo of the tail gunner. The only plane I can think of my a tail gunner position like that is the B-25C
Wow, if the writers of those magazines could only see how technology has progressed today.
And you are correct fortapache. The caption on the cover photo (which is cut off in my photo), is "Sting" of the B-25.
jscott, I constantly wonder what my parents and grandparents would think of the advancements in technology today. I am here experiencing it and I am blown away!
thanks for the loves to pops52,Caperkid, packrat-place, fortapache, fleafinder, vetraio50 and jscott!
I grew up with a fellow whose father was a tail gunner in one of the B bombers in WWII. Man, I just cannot fathom some of the stuff our parents and grandparents had to go through! [;>)
NevadaBlades, I agree. We cannot fathom the horrors of war unless we've been there. My dad and uncle served in Europe in WWII. My brother died in Nam. He was a gunner on a helicopter. Each time I see a vet my throat constricts. I have such respect and gratitude....they should be treated so much better!!! So sorry, I got on my soapbox....thanks for the love.
thanks so much for the love to Brunswick!!
