I found this "Elgin 302L" machine in the back of my Mom's closet and it looks to be in perfect condition. I remember Mom using it when I was a kid, so I'm guessing it's from the early to mid-60's. It still has a spool of cotton thread from Grant's department store on it. The 130 watt motor says Standard Sewing Equipment Corp. on it. An internet search provided very little info, so I'm hoping someone here might help me identify the origin and whether or not there is any market for such a machine. Mom says she is sure she has the owners manual somewhere, but we haven't come across it yet.

I just found a machine just like yours but mine says its a dressmaker by morse.
I was wondering if your Mom ever did find the manual and if you still have to machine could you please send me some closeup pictures of the needle and tension knob, I need those parts. Thank You
