Wood Dog

Any information on this dog including approx date, artist etc would be much appreciated. On the right foot it says "Made in Denmark." The eyes have some type of inset white outline material (not sure what this material is made of) with painted black eyes. The approx. length of the dog is 9". The wood is beautiful, but I don't know if its oak, walnut or some other wood?
