I am really curious about finding more information about this. I acquired it through my grandparents upon their passing and they did visit Japan around 30 years ago. It is possible they picked it up while there and also possible they did not. I tried finding similar figurines on the internet but didn't see anything. I would love to know more and possibly where it came from. It's about 2 inches tall and either ceramic or porcelain.

Your cupid appears to be made from molded resin, not ceramic or porcelain. Not everything is to be found on the net, and this figure is probably one of those things which will remain a mystery.
