I saw this at a thrift store today and wondered if it's EAPG. I don't know my EAPG glassware very well so it's very possibly something newer meant to mimic EAPG. I decided to take it home to figure it out. I've had no luck so far. I'm looking for some opinions or information. I have not managed to find this or a similar pattern online yet.
Also someone who knows more about EAPG might be able to share some tips on determining whether this is EAPG or not.... Thanks!
you're correct on this one; it is EAPG. Richards and Hartley Glass Co. 'Lady Hamilton' c1875. The pattern was continued as 'Peerless' by U.S. Glass after R&H joined that combine. This looks to be a spooner.
EAPG is often recognized by the dominant motif; in this case diamond or diamond grid. One book that outlines many of the accepted motifs and a good guide for IDs is McCain's "Field Glass to Pattern Glass". The book is arranged by the various motifs making it easier to check the patterns. The drawings are quite small but still good resource. As with most books there are some errors.
TallCakes, you're the best! Thanks for the information :) There is some kind of glittery mess stuck inside the glass, I realized this morning. It's a neat piece though.
