    I understand these were distributed to provide food to those who needed it but anything but prunes. I'm not sure of the date of this but it's nailed not a dovetail.

    I got 3 of these at an estate auction. This one is in the best condition. The second one also has a lid but it has been written on in marker I believe. (Will Magic Eraser get rid of that?) The third doesn't have lid at all.

    I was drawn to them because of the writing on the sides.

    Not sure what category this belongs in.

      Great looking crate! I doubt that Magic Eraser will get the marker off the wood, but worth a try anyway.
