One thing I noted on this and my Shell can is that there is no grade. IE 30 weight, 10-40w, 20-50w and so on. This one has none of that so this is from before there were various grades of motor oil.
As to the can Pennzoil is probably the most common of oil cans but it has excellent graphics and colors. The others tended to look industrial. Aside from the ones that were a considerably more expensive. My favorites are the Pegasus and the Flying A.

Aha, I knew it!!! The various grades of motor oil don't really exist! They just put different numbers on the cans to fool us into believing there's a difference! Like tooth paste. I use a green gel that's supposed to make my teeth whiter and the Mrs. uses a blue gel that's supposed to prevent tarter. I'm sure they're identical in every way, except the color and the labeling! JUST KIDDING! (I don't know the first thing about motor oil, except don't let it run out!)

Thank you very much again NevadaBlades. Yes there is that red light that comes on =. I think my car uses a synthetic oil whatever that is.

This can did have a sae weight on it. it's just so rusted you can't read it. It should be on the top of the can pressed into the metal. I can make out the Pennzoil on the top, and I can see the S. It's there just too rusted. :)
