I found these at a carboot sale. Both have some chips, but I think they are still interesting. I love the handpainted decoration. My guess is both plates were made well before 1900. They are around 8.5'' in diameter. Any help would be appreciated.

Your plates are lovely, especially the one on the left with the flow blue color.

Definitely Japanese Imari Martika. I've sold several of mine to a collector friend for 75-100 a piece. I forget what he told me about the rings on the bottom. The double and single blue rings can be used to date them. So I think one is older and one is newer. Maybe even as early 18th century. If I see him at the shop today I'll ask him and let you know. :)

Thank you Mikelv85, Jscott0363 and Pascale for your kind comments!!!
Mike - I appreciate your effort! I don't know anything about Asian pottery, even when I try to look it up on the net, I'm still not sure about my research. So a helping hand ( or mind) means a lot!!!
And thank you to everybody who stopped by and clicked on the love button! :)
