In the late 1960s the American public became fed-up with the war in Vietnam and the Selective Service System draft that sent many sons to the jungles and others to Canada. They took to the streets across the nation in mass peaceful protest. A noticeable presence at many of these rallies was General Hershey Bar (Bill Matons) who, along with his friend General Waste-More-Land (Tom Dunphy), would show up in military-looking uniforms festooned with plastic rockets. General Hershey Bar was an engaging character full of humor. He carried a pile of mock newspapers with banner headlines promoting peace and poking fun, and while he was working the crowd, General Waste-More-Land would be passing out these "anti-draft cards".
General Hershey Bar has a wikipedia page if you would like to read more about his joyful life.
Great Item !!!
