This is one of my miniature clocks that measures:
Height of cover: 2-3/8"
Width of book: 2"
Height of opened book showing watch face: 1-5/8"
Book closed is 1/2" thick
The inside of the book cover is printed: Genuine Leather Made In U.S.A.
When the cover is opened, the page with the watch springs up to hold the cover open and displaying the watch.
The watch dial is marked: SWISS
The wristwatch movement is marked:
Swiss
Unadjusted
Deauville Watch Co.
DOW
Seventeen 17
Jewels
I don't believe Deauville Watch Co. is a watch manufacture. Most likely an importer of watch parts and assembled as shown.
Interesting little conversation piece, (desk clock), added to my collection of watches, clocks, and old books.
Thanks for looking,
Dave

Really love this clock!!!!
Alan, It could be in the "traveling clock", "desk clock", "night stand clock" category. I would like to see the one you have.

Thanks toolate2 for the appreciation.
Very nice and unusual watch!
The "DOW" on the balance cock is for the Deauville (Ollendorff) watch corp.
Pre-1965, I would say around the late fifties.
So creative !!
Thanks antiquerose for the appreciation.
