This is a New Zealand made bronze 'copy'? of a 1993 Harley Davidson Baron belt buckle originally made in USA and was cast in pewter.
A large eagle sits on one side, the flag on the other with the words AMERCAN FREEDOM above and Harley Davidson Motor Cycles logo in between .
The pewter version had inscribed on the back: Defending Liberty, Harley, Eagle and Old Glory.
This brass version has MADE IN NEW ZEALAND, the HD official licenced product stamp and a makers code 'BB - 2727'
Another collector here has a buckle from the same maker which has bb - 2730, presumably BB is the makers mark and the numbers are either a pattern number, date code, or possibly piece number.
When i received this belt buckle as part of a raffle prize i was told it was a rare item (i do not know and maybe someone else might be able to shed some light on this one day.. but it may be that these buckles are oneoff custom copies)
it would be interesting to learn more about the origin of this item and when it might have been made
Maybe the folks here can help you:
