What you see is what you get. I don't know anything about it. It works and the shade is in great condition. The stand is decrative wood with a round marble top. I don't know what the figures or metal elements are made of. Who can shine a light on this 6foot tall beauty?

I am not positive on the maker but these had come back in the period of the later 1960's to 1970's, yours should be closer to 1966. Some of the metal pieces were painted all white, some cream and some with 3 tones like yours. In north america they were sometimes made by the HB Hirsch company who dug up a lot of the original molds and had special knowledge of their whereabouts in paris after the wars ended. Up to the the 1980's they were making a lot of lamps from them, though in the later years they had bronze patinas on them. Italy was also part of this massive import trade business, and a lot of shops had set up shop just to sell all these items. The stand that the item is on looks to be definitely italian and they made a lot of these composition stands for the purpose. Some came with genuine marble tops and when in the 90's I bought some of them just for the marble if it was black with gold striations. The lamp portion on yours is nicer than most, with several additional light outlets. In the case of an italian metal statue I am not sure who made them as they normally had no signature.

Btw the statue is made of spelter as were all these mid century lamps. If they were older they would have had a foundry mark on them and some of the Hirsch lamps had a newer foundry mark.

Thank you so much, as it was gifted from an Italian woman the Italy info makes sense. Do you have any idea of its value?
