Someone gave this unsigned clay piece to me. It is approximately 16" high and 16" wide. It sits on a metal stand which I'm sure was added later. I do not believe it is Mexican as it also has Native American fetishes attached. The person that gave this to me is a huge American Native artifact collector. Any ideas??

No, not Native American. The pot is Tarahumara, from Mexico. Someone probably added the fetishes and feathers, hoping to pass this off as Native American Indian, but no American Indian tribe makes anything like this. It's more a decorator item than anything else.
